NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report)—The Republican nominee Donald Trump tore into the media on Thursday for what he called their “extremely unfair practice” of reporting the things he says.
“I’ll say one thing at a rally and I look out and see all these TV cameras taking each word down,” Trump advised Fox News’ Sean Hannity. “Nobody in politics has ever been subjected to this type of therapy.”
“It’s unbelievable and, frankly, very unethical,” he added.
At a rally in Florida, the candidate lashed out at a TV cameraman whom he caught within the act of recording his phrases for broadcasting functions.
“Take a look at him over there, choosing up the whole lot I’m saying, people,” Trump shouted. “Get him out of right here.”
In his interview with Fox, Trump hinted that he would possibly drop out of this fall’s televised Presidential debates if the media continues its follow of reporting the issues he says.
“I’ve all the time mentioned that I might be prepared to debate if I’m handled pretty,” Trump instructed Hannity. “But when the media retains recording all the pieces I say, phrase for phrase, after which enjoying it again so that everybody within the nation hears precisely what I mentioned, I might think about that very, very unfair.”
